Adjacent Land Acquisition.
In the case of Gillette, Wyoming, we led the adjacent land acquisition, which included locating and negotiating a replacement site for the adjacent land owner. Following existing facility evaluations, we negotiated a lease of two separate buildings located nearby. Our consulting team acted as Owner’s Representative, overseeing all construction, including machine tool installation and a VPI system (vacuum pressure impregnation). Another of our additions included the design and construction of their warehouse and offices, spanning 3 acres of land in Gillette, north of Wyoming’s capital Cheyenne. We reconfigured the building’s footprint to fit the site, following the negotiation and purchase of an adjacent 5 acre panel.
Facility Design and Layout.
Campbell Corporation’s design team shaped the entire electric motor rebuild shop layout, once again serving as the only consulting firm in the world – lean manufacturing or otherwise – able to construct this state-of-the-art electric motor rebuild shop. Our lean manufacturing engineers designed and built onto the warehouse, completing the facility, as well as an entire mechanical shop at the Wyoming site. Then we designed and built an addition onto the electric motor rebuild shop, similar to other lean project management successes we have created. The entire project in Gillette, WY was valued at $14 million.
